Funding Opportunities

With your help, we will be able to reach more children and expand our programs. We offer our partners the following funding opportunities:
Annual scholarship for an underprivileged child
Tennis lessons and the required discipline that accompanies them are especially important for children who come from disadvantaged families. We provide them with a supportive environment that enhances motivation for change, with opportunities to increase their general knowledge and improve their learning abilities.
Annual scholarship for a child with special needs
Uniquely designed programs have been developed that cater to the special needs of developmentally challenged children. Through various specifically designed sport activities we not only help to enhance their self esteem but also contribute to the normalization and quality of their lives.
Annual scholarship for a child from the Competitive Program
The Competitive Program affords the more talented children the opportunity to develop their full potential to become world-class tennis champions.
Annual scholarship for an Arab-Jewish doubles team from the Doubles Coexistence Program
The Doubles Coexistence Program, in cooperation with the Marci Lynn Bernstein Foundation, educates towards values of tolerance and cooperation between Arab and Jewish children through joint tennis activities. The program particularly stresses the importance of large circles of influence – beginning with the children themselves and including their parents and educators.
Annual sponsorship for a group of 8 underprivileged children
Tennis lessons and the required discipline that accompanies them are especially important for children who come from disadvantaged families. We provide them with a supportive environment that enhances motivation for change, with opportunities to increase their general knowledge and improve their learning abilities.
Annual sponsorship of a team of children with special needs training for Special Olympics tournaments
The cooperation between the ITC and the Special Olympics began with the vision of operating tennis tournaments for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. In addition to participating in the special needs program, developmentally challenged children take part in regional, national and even international tennis tournaments with the participation of the Israel branch of Special Olympics.
Annual sponsorship of one Arab and one Jewish kindergarten participating in the Twinned Kindergartens Coexistence Program (60 children)
The Twinned Peace Kindergartens program was developed in order to assist in overcoming the stereotypes and negative feelings existing among Israeli and Palestinian children. The Israel Tennis Center, together with the Peres Center for Peace, brings together Palestinian and Israeli children aged 4 to 6 years to jointly participate in weekly motor skill development games and activities.
Participation in funding the Children at Risk Program at the Israel Tennis Center-Kiryat Shmona, which includes sport, fitness and mental training activities (30 children)
Through the Children at Risk Program, The Israel Tennis Center wishes to locate children who are in danger of adopting destructive life patterns and help them to attain normative patterns of behavior; equip them with tools that will help them deal with pressures at home and in school; encourage them to enlist in the Israeli Army and pursue meaningful and ambitious lives.
Endowment of a playroom for children at risk/with special needs at the Israel Tennis Center-Kiryat Shmona or Jerusalem
A playroom equipped to cater to the specific needs of children at risk, developmentally challenged children, autistic and hearing impaired as well as children with ADHD.
Dedication of Multi-Purpose Covered Sports Pavilion at the Israel Tennis Center-Ashkelon
The Israel Tennis Center–Ashkelon caters to 350 children each week, including many children of immigrants from Ethiopia and the Former Soviet Union, and hosts many tennis tournaments and training camps throughout the year. The Covered Sports Pavilion is "weather proof", protecting children in all programs from both the summer heat and winter rains and winds.
